The role of a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is an essential part of our daily operations here at Heritage of Foley, and for the right person, it can lead to a rewarding career in the healthcare profession.
What is a CNA?
CNA is typically responsible for providing general care for the residents. They are the eyes and ears that relay important information to the LPN’s and RN’s. The most common responsibilities include: taking and recording vital signs (heart rate, respiration, blood pressures, and temperatures), assisting residents into their bed or chair, helping with nutrition, providing personal hygiene, along with being a companion. The top qualities that a CNA should possess are: communication skill, patience, time management, and organizational skills, physical stamina, and observational skills.
This is a great steppingstone to begin your nursing career!
