The primary purpose of the Memory Care Activities is to be a member of the planning calendar process, implement and carry out small and large activity programs of residents in the Nursing Center, traditional long-term care and short-term rehab wings, complete one-to-one interactions with individual residents, document resident leisure participation, and other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and/or experience in geriatrics recreational programming and memory care setting preferred.
Experience working with geriatric, ability to communicate with residents and co-workers, positive team player, willingness to be flexible, works well with co-workers/ other departments and volunteers, ability to manage time efficiently, ability to initiate needs of residents and department, ability to drive the van on outings, ability to use or learn new computer programs, ability to be organized and use interpersonal skills to support a helping environment, ability to prioritize tasks, ability to direct, encourage and motivate residents to participate in meaningful activities, ability to document appropriate resident information.
The part time position is approximately 24 – 28 hours per pay period, every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm and three weekdays from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm. There is an ability to pick-up open shifts.
