Heritage Adult Day Services
Heritage of Foley understand and appreciates the time and effort primary caregivers devote to their loved ones. We also understand the important of maintaining normalcy and routine. That is why we are proud to offer adult day services. Heritage Adult Day Services provides day-time care and supervision to individuals over the age of 18. If it wasn’t for the staff at Heritage of Foley, my husband would no longer be able to remain at home with me. I am 72 years old and Don is 79 years old. He was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease several years ago and prior to starting at Heritage Adult Day Services, I could not go anywhere without bringing him with me. He would wander off and I did have to contact police to assist in finding him. He did not want to go shopping, go to the grocery store, library, etc. which really limited what I could do.
When Don first started going to day services, he thought it was “stupid” or “dumb.” Now he is up and dressed (sometimes at 4am) waiting for the “girls” to pick him up, even on weekends.
Jessica, the ADS Director has an excellent schedule and calendar of activities for the residents that is always changing. The staff of Cassie, Darla and Hali are a joy. They like to tease him which he thoroughly enjoys. They are kind, patient and knowledgeable regarding his Alzheimer’s.
God bless Jessica and staff for their care and loving support!
